Add Tool: The Add Tool is the most basic tools you get in the game. This tool allows you to place blocks of varying shapes and sizes. The Add Tool on its own is not very advanced, all it offers is shape, resource, and size modulation.
Here is a size comparison of for the Add Tool. The same works in reverse too. In this image there are actually 4 blocks in the smallest level copper , the second level Iron is half of its full size.
The sizes weren't meshing well that close, because it's still on a grid base system. To change the shape and resource used, you need to use the resource menu on the left side of the screen.
If you're unsure what that is check out my Basic UI guide. First you'll select the resource through the menu, allowing you to customize the finish. You'll follow this up by selecting the shape that you want the resource in. I've added in the image from my UI guide for reference. The next thing you'll do is use the mouse wheel to select the size you want for it. The default is usually the smallest available size. You can switch materials and textures in two ways. One is to click on any of the options in the materials tray or palette section of the Building Tools tab while in Build Mode.
You can also use the eyedropper tool by mousing over another material that's already on the claim, holding down Alt and L clicking to instantly change to the sampled material. You will know where you are sampling a material because the eyedropper looks like a ray of light when it is active and being used. Changing materials with the eyedropper is even easier if you create a voxel board for your claim.
Below are the keyboard shortcuts and commands that can be used with the most of the building tools. Landmark Wiki Explore.
Landmark Building Exploring Gathering. Guilds Fan Sites Official Channels. User Guides. About Admins. Enclose anything built by the player or the natural landscape of a build site and remove all material. Paint Tool. Allows the player to rapidly and easily change the look of any object eg.
Frees player to build with a common material like dirt, and change the look later when saving designs. Heal Tool. Enclose any area on a build site and restore it to its natural landscape state including the air. Frees the player to quickly replace materials previously removed back to the appearance it has when they chose to place a build site in that location.
Fast clean-up after experimental building, quickly undoing changes made to the natural landscape. Smooth Tool. Terraforming the natural landscape on a build site, creating rounded columns, perfecting spheres. Enclose a player-built object or structure, press L to open the design library. Indicates the built area to be saved in the design library, and isolates the area for design screenshots.
Save anything you built from a single block voxel to and entire build site, save frequently used structure elements like staircases and windows as a design. Use the design later to save time or experiment.
